The Sad Truth about the Diploma Mill

Have you heard that there is such thing as a life experience degree program? Yes, the ones that let your real life work experience get credited so you can earn an actual degree, and you can even earn that degree online. Life experience degrees are the buzz these days and everyone seems to be scrambling for them on the World Wide Web. However, the very sad part is that there are a lot of abusive individuals who take pleasure (and not to mention profit) from deceiving innocent people into paying for something which they think is legitimate and they end up with a fake diploma.

Places (or people) that issue a fake degree are referred to as a diploma mill. From the name itself, it is literally like a factory for fake diplomas and degrees. Here is the very sad part about these diploma mills — there are really a lot of people who become a victim of them. You see, diploma mills can come in two types — the first one is the degree mill that bluntly says they are selling fake degrees and diplomas, while the second type is the degree mill that pretends to be a real academic institution.

To be quite honest, it is very hard to tell the difference between a real academic institution and a fake school. These days, con artists are very good at copying things (like making websites that look like a real school’s online portal) that most people would often fall for their plot. I guess that’s the idea I am pointing out here. People would obviously want to avoid diploma mills but these days they are really hard to avoid.
